What is Thermiculite 835 Vermiculite Spiral Wound Gasket?

Thermiculite 835 vermiculite spiral wound gasket is a critical service gasket designed for use in applications involving high temperatures and aggressive chemical media. Thermiculite 835 vermiculite spiral wound gasket is comprised of a spirally wound sealing element composed of a metal winding wire in combination with a Thermiculite 835 vermiculite based filler material.

Thermiculite 835 vermiculite spiral wound gasket can be supplied with inner and outer centering, compression stop rings or in sealing element form. The spiral construction provides excellent sealing performance and confers high levels of gasket resilience.

Application Service

Thermiculite 835 vermiculite spiral wound gaskets are suitable for use in a wide range of sealing applications. They are capable of effecting a high integrity seal in the most demanding environments and are particularly suited to applications involving extremes of Thermal or mechanical cycling. Typical applications include superheated steam, strong oxidising media and elevated temperature service. Metallic components, winding strip and rings, can be selected to suit specific applications.
